In this era of rapid technological advancements, the introduction of artificial intelligence or ‘AI’ into our daily lives is reshaping the information landscape and the way we work. It is normal to feel confused or unsure of where to start and how to use it in a way that is intentional and impactful.
Target Audience
Professionals new to Copilot who are looking to build confidence using this tool and understand the possibilities of AI in the workplace.
This session is intended to help participants understand how AI can support them in the workplace and gain confidence in utilizing it in their everyday work. Since Copilot is one of the most prominent applications commonly integrated in the workplace, this session will cover what Copilot is, what it can and cannot do, and how to use it effectively and responsibly.

Discover The Training Outline
- Copilot and AI foundations: what generative AI is, what Copilot does, and where it can be useful
- Where it can support everyday tasks: drafting, summarizing, organizing information, preparing for meetings, working with documents, emails, presentations, and data
- Prompting basics: how to get the results you’re looking for by providing a clear goal, context, source, and expected output.
- Responsible use of AI in the workplace: confidentiality, organizational policies, knowing what information can and cannot be shared, and understanding the limitations of AI
- The fallacy of AI outputs: the importance of critical human review and judgment, checking facts, names, numbers, tone, context, and ensuring AI output is appropriate before using or sharing it.
- Moving into everyday use: participants identify one or two practical ways they could start experimenting with Copilot in their own work
INTERACTIVE ACTIVITY: participants will be guided through hands-on activities and will have the opportunity to use Copilot directly on their own computers to follow along the demonstrations and practice applying prompting techniques to workplace-related scenarios.
NOTE: This training has been designed for approximately 8-10 participants. Any changes to this (i.e. mixed level audience, more people or shorter training days) may require modifications to ensure an optimal learning experience
